WORLD OF INVENTIONS
World of Inventions is a brand new science adventure, presented by 'world-famous' inventor, Mr Peculiar!
Mr Peculiar loves to create experiments and inventions using every day household items. This immersive half an hour adventure will see your school become a laboratory and be host to some really fun experiments, all with the scientific explanation behind them. This show features Mr Peculiar and his feathered friends, Timmy and Tammy, as they explore the world of science around them.
This show is aimed at children in key stage one and the lower end of key stage two however, it is suitable for both stages. The children will be encouraged to participate with Mr Peculiar and there will even be an opportunity for some children to take part in an experiment too! There will also be some games and a big sing-a-long at the end, as the finale to the immersive experience.
The set for the show is fully transportable and can be performed almost anywhere. Mr Peculiar also has his own YouTube show and this could supplement the performance or as a treat for the children. As part of the show, all children will get a free brochure on how to carry out the experiments at home. We have two regular actors who perform as Mr Peculiar and both have an enhanced DBS check as well as insurance up to £1,000,000.
Children will learn about density, carbon dioxide, solids, liquids, gases and forces all in this half an hour show. We feel that these are the core principles around science and we have researched this in detail to ensure all explanations are explained properly to the children. The children will be encouraged to give their own explanations and Mr Peculiar will encourage the answers from the children and guide them to the correct answer.
'All of our play-schemes had a visit from Mr Peculiar this summer. The children were aged 5-11 and really enjoyed it. They especially liked the Coke & Mentos experiment. The younger children (and staff!) loved singing along with all the different characters. I would highly recommend this play to primary school aged children. We look forward to having them back next summer'
